This section of the website is intended SOLELY for the use of referring physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to facilitate communication about patients. For a variety of reasons, we do not answer any questions from patients related to patient care via the internet.

As detailed in our statement under "Our Philosophy" elsewhere in this website, we are happy to see any child, irrespective of funding status. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Dr. Schaeffer and Susan Noel, ARNP work as a team, with Susan frequently seeing patients with nonsurgical issues first. If you feel that a child you are sending to us needs to be specifically seen by Dr. Schaeffer, please schedule the appointment with that request.

Referring physicians and nurse practitioners are free to contact Dr. Schaeffer or Susan as directed via the icon "Contact Us" above. We are happy to give general advice or provide insights into a clinical issue, but for liability reasons we may need to see the patient if the issue concerns a specific patient or if you intend to document the details of our conversation in your patient's chart.
