No Show Policy for Scheduled Surgery

If your child is scheduled for surgery at your visit, you will be asked to sign a "No Show Agreement." This contract between you and us requires a $250 fee from you should your child fail to show for scheduled surgery without 72 hours of advance notice. If your child becomes sick during this 72 hour preoperative period, he or she must be seen by your primary care physician with whom we will communicate. A runny nose or a viral condition may not be a contraindication for minor surgery, so, if there is any question, bring your child to the surgical facility as scheduled.

This No Show Policy was instituted after we experienced many episodes of patients failing to report to the surgical facility at the appointed date and time. Please understand that when your child is scheduled for surgery, an entire team of people and an operating room has been reserved to care for your child. It is very expensive to operate a surgical facility and a medical office. When a patient fails to show for surgery, these costs cannot otherwise be recouped.

No-Show Policy:
A $250.00 charge
will be assessed for all no-show surgery cases and any cancellation without reasonable cause within 72 hours of surgery. You will be responsible for this charge. This charge can be avoided with a 72 hour notice of cancellation. If your child gets sick within 72 hours of surgery, please have your child seen by your pediatrician or family physician and have him or her call us.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at (859) 275-KIDS (5437); we are here to assist you.
