Referring Physician
Correspondence
We strive to communicate diligently with our referring physicians about their patients. It is our practice to send a letter to the patient's PCP after every visit, except for routine post-op care. Our charts are electronic, and we try to function with a minimal amount of paper; therefore, primary care physicians will receive correspondence from us by fax. We have found this to be a very reliable form of communication, but letters sometimes do not get properly transmitted. If you have not received a letter from us about one of your patients, please contact Tammy, our Front Office Manager. She will get you the information you need. This office generates dozens of letters per week, and it is very labor intensive. There can be delays at times for a variety of reasons. If you need information about your patient's recent visit immediately, do not hesitate to call Tammy, Susan, or Dr. Schaeffer for assistance.
